It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times. We do not release information to a third party unless you sign a release document.
Confidentiality also relates to individuals within families. We cannot discuss consultations or results with anyone other than the patient, including between partners, unless written permission is received. Exceptions are where the patient is a minor or where someone is appointed a legal guardian. To build rapport and a trusting relationship teenagers are also given this confidentiality.
