Influenza is a common viral infection that affects people of all ages. In some people it is mild, however for others it can cause serious illness and lead to hospitalization in otherwise healthy people.
The best way to protect yourself is to have the annual flu vaccination. The flu vaccine is especially important for those patients most at risk of complications from influenza.
The brand of vaccine used will depend on your age and your doctor will be able to advise you about which vaccine will be used for yourself and your child/ren.
