MEET THE NEW MEMBER OF YOUR QUINNS GP TEAM – A NON-DISPENSING PHARMACIST
The evidence is clear; adding a non-dispensing pharmacist into General Practice has significant benefits for individual patients, GPs, other GP team members and the health care system as a whole.
Starting with us this week is Louise Edwards (BPharm – Honors) who brings her expertise in pharmacotherapy and education to help many of our patients manage their medications better and to help the rest of our GP team improve patient care through education, quality improvement activities and quality use of medicine advice.
Building on ‘Team Based Care’ and ‘Patient-Team Partnership’ we are improving what we do using the 10 building blocks of high performing primary care @WA Primary Health Alliance.
Our pharmacist will add value to the care you receive. If you would like to see the pharmacist to discuss your medications just let your doctor know. If your preferred usual GP thinks you may benefit from seeing the pharmacist, they will also raise this with you when you are next in.
We are excited and hope you are too.
