Heart Failure is a serious condition and that is why we have started our own nurse led heart failure clinic named “Healthy Heart Clinic’. The “Healthy Heart Clinic” is being run by Nia one of our chronic disease nurses.
Your heart is a muscle and a pump. Heart failure is when your heart becomes damaged. There are two types of heart failure. Your damaged heart will either be a “big floppy heart that has problems with the way it squeezes” OR a “stiff heart muscle that can not relax and fill properly”.

While heart failure can not be reversed you can do things to help your heart work better and make you feel better. The Healthy Heart Clinic provides information including the practical things you can do to make your day to day living better and includes commencing you on a management plan.
